I am a huge fan of music, in particular classical music but also pop, rock (the 90s') and other contemporary varieties.
I started playing the violin at age 6, and obtained the Grade 10 Certification in Violin Performance (the highest level for amateurs in mainland China) from the Chinese Musician Association at age 13. I ranked 4th in a national contest for high-school seniors at age 17. I served as the concertmaster of Zhejiang University Wenqin Symphony Orchestra, member of Hong Kong Baptist University Symphony Orchestra, and ad-hoc guest player of Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra during my college years. While doing my Master and PhD, I was also part of the HKUST SHSS Ensemble coached by world renowned violinist and recording artist Takako Nishizaki (西崎崇子). I also like traveling and playing basketball. A lover of movies and food as well. |
